Where cake is not quite  enough!!

There are times when even a Bakery Barn Wedding Cake is not quite enough. At a recent wedding at Mitton Hall in Clitheroe the bride & groom decided on a full table of goodies for their guests to enjoy.  Take a look at the image  to the right and decide what options you would have enjoyed eating.

The Bakery Barn is always looking for new options to offer their clients. Following this recent success we are looking at introducing the option of a Dessert Bench  -   Watch this space!!!

In the meantime if additional baking options are of interest to you please let us know.

What cake to make for your own daughters wedding

Where do you start with the challenge of making your own daughters wedding cake?.

The answer should be simple.  You do what you do with every wedding cake and ask what the Bride & Groom want and then do all you can to provide their dream cake.   But what do you do when their ideas change over and over again.  One solution could be to put just about every option available into one cake.   When it came to making Sarah & Pauls wedding cake that is exactly what happened.  We had 4 tiers with 4 different styles  -  Fondant, Buttercream, Semi Naked and Naked. decorated with white roses and range of our favourite foliage.  The bottom tier was toffee crisp with white chocolate, strawberries and champagne and chocolate orange making up the other three.  We know it would have to be a special cake and we hope you agree it certainly was!!

When things get back to normal.....

I guess we will all have looked forward to things getting back to normal but for most of us 'normal' still seems a long way away.  For those in the Wedding Supplies Industry the pandemic  meant that most of our business was put on hold and we had regular conversations with those whose dream days had sadly been cancelled until further notice.  Then came July and the world went mad in the opposite way.

The reality is that the last 7 months or so have been ridiculously busy but it has been a real privilege to be part of so many Happy Couples amazing days.   The truth is that so many had been  devastated when they had to cancel their previous dates so when their new day came about everyone was determined to have the best day ever.

Maybe normal days may return but hopefully we will all have learnt not to take things for granted too much and be even more determined to enjoy the times when we are all back together.

Fun at the Fayres
